...I have come to realize that, this is the secret to a satisfied, peaceful and joyful life.
To believe is indeed with the heart. To know that even though something is not visible or apparent...it is; Hebrews 11:1. To finally understand those words in my heart...life changing. To jump off a building and not look down to check if the safety measure is in place...but to just jump...not afraid but knowing and being confident that I am safe...
To give is indeed a phenomenon. We all give at one point or another...but why do we give or when do we give? That is what defines our giving. 2 Corinthians 9: 6 -12 describes the amazing mystery and cycle of giving. To give cheerfully to meet the need of another for no personal gain and even if it inconveniences me...it will surely produce thanksgiving to God...who in turn will NEVER fail to meet my own need...
Love...wow...the beauty of life. Everything is made better with love. But to know what love is, is to actually "see" Jesus on the cross of Calvary. Willingly offering to die to save a people that do not deserve it and all for no personal gain...for He was already the Son of God.To assimilate and live all the words of 1 Corinthians 13 is to completely defeat my selfish human nature...it is what I hope will someday be my greatest achievement...
God please help me to be more of a believer, more of a giver and more of a lover each day...AMEN
